  • Here is why I love being my own boss!

So some Avon Representatives sell as a part time and some sell full time. Of course I do other jobs than just sell but today has definitley made up my mind to sell full time! I worked at a day care and they had cancellations, I was informed to work for them the night before and right when I arrived at my other job they called and cancelled me. That's definitley not right and should've been handled differently. Anyways, i'm going full time with Avon and continue moving up because with Avon I have a promising career. I love being my own boss, I never have to worry about having somebody watch over me, listen to any directions because it's my business! I don't have to worry about going to work late or taking a sick day...Infact..I can take as much vacation as I want to and still make money! Avon is my passion and it's my life and I would love nothing more than to share the opportunity with those that come across my blog here at xanga. All it cost to sell Avon is 10.00! 10.00 for all the endless earning potential Avon has to offer to everyone!  There is no hidden fees and monkey business, plus i'm here for you for free coaching through out your career! I have 7 people under me and the best part about my business is being apart of their succsess because I knew they could do it all along!

2010 is the year for you, visit www.youravon.com/mpreuss for more details on becoming an Avon Representative and keep checking back here for more information on the company, current deals and sales tips! Yes, you can get the extra income from direct sales and achieve your dreams now!

2010 Product Of The Day Kick Off

Product: Avon's Skin So Soft Wintersoft hand wash!

    Price: $6.00

    Purchase: Click Here

Here are what some of our customers are saying about the Skin So Soft Winter Hand Wash Product:

Review #1: "New to Avon...heard that their bath & body products didn't dry out your skin. Figured I'd try out some of Avon's hand soaps...and just received my first order. LOVE the SSS Wintersoft!! The hydroseal really works - makes me feel like my hands have a magical, thin layer of protective sealant after washing my hands!! Lathers well, but not too soapy. This is the best hand soap ever!!"

Review #2: "This handsoap is THE BEST!! It has a very addicting scent and moisturizes my hands well. I wish AVON would sell it all year so I don't feel like I have to stock up in case it doesn't come back. I have 10 bottles so far....and order when I can."

Review #3: "I bought this hand soap for my guest bathroom which happens to be right next to my front door. My husband is a plumber and uses that bathroom to wash his hands after work.. WOW he said this is the only hand soap that gets his hands clean!!!! His hands are filthy after a hard day at work and Avon SSS wintersoft works the best, It also softens his hands that in the past have cracked and bled from the elements, It works wonders"

  • Let's Talk Beauty & Business

Hello Avon Representatives! Let’s talk beauty & business for a few moments here. Have you ever dreamed of having your own business at such a young age? Every now and then I’m still shocked about having my own business and with how well it’s been going. I do remember back when I started how lost I was starting my own business and trying to figure out how to run things properly for successes. I want to ask all of you a few questions here: A-1) What steps have you done to organize your business? B- 2) Have you generated an address book offline for easy access to add and to drop a contact?  C-3) how are you managing your personal finance’s? D- 4) Are you ready to take your business to the next level and become a leader and recruit others? I’m going to provide answers to the questions above through what I’ve done in the past 6 months. With taking these steps I’ve earned almost $3,000 and I’m on my way to achieving president’s club! I will talk more about the different programs and earning incentives after the answers to questions I’ve asked you. Before you read on, I want you to answer the questions, and then I would like you to compare answers and contemplate about what you can do to enhance earning potential.

    By now I have:

A -1)Opened a separate bank account with Lake Elmo.  If you’re looking to switch banks, Lake Elmo would be the preferred choice. Lake Elmo has excellent service, they watch what you are doing and will immediately inform you if something in your account is unusual. I’ve never had to of second guess why I chose doing business with Lake Elmo Bank. So, now I have two checking accounts. I have one for my personal finance use and one for business. I chose to name my account “Avon”. After I set up my separate account, I requested for blank checks and a debit card. You have two options for paying for your order, either enrolled through quick pay or you can pay online with a card. Also, it’s great to have a debit card in order to keep track of your business spending expense.

A-2) Even though it only cost you $10.00 to sign up and start your business with Avon, there are additional supplies that would make any business run smoother. If you guys haven’t found our discounted stores yet, spend time browsing under community on your web office. If you don’t have time here is the link: http://www.staplescontract.com/contract/avonadvantage/index.asp !  Anyways, some helpful office supplies I bought were a 3 ring binder. In this 3 ring binder, I keep resources from training. I also keep other resource information such as tax, Avon apparel size and jewelry. I also print out every update my sales manager sends me through email and keep for future reference.  On the back of your brochure, there is a place for your contact information. At office max, I had bought a customized stamp with my first and last name, online store address, phone number and email. This makes it easy as every campaign comes out, all I have to do is stamp – wait for it to dry and deliver to customers. I also bought customized business cards through office max. When I first started out I decided to use my ink and buy premade cards and just use the tool online to create my business card. They weren’t good quality – let me tell you that and it adds up when you decide to use your own ink for business cards! So if you go into an office max or staples, they have a computer and you can use their program in store and still have the option to create your business cards. I had again picked the option that was the cheapest, 200 cards for under $30.00! They also mailed it to me directly through FedEx! There is also a date on the back of your brochure in the contact information that says brochure effective until. I got a neat tool where you can stamp the date on. I also bought a business bag from Menards for only $20.00! Whenever you buy office supplies for Avon or use your own car for dropping off orders or brochures, record the purchase and the mileage also keep the receipts for filling up your car as well as for the supplies you bought. This will become helpful at the end of the year when tax rolls around! I also have a file box to keep my receipts and invoices from every campaign. I print out two invoices – a copy for personal records and a copy for the customer. This helps you out so when a campaign rolls around and if they have ordered products, you can follow up and will know what to ask about.  I also bought extra pens – note pads and notebooks. In my purse, I always keep extra business cards, brochures, a product for a customer to try like lotion and a note pad as well as pen if customers call me to place an order. It pays off to be prepared. I have a wall calendar so I can place when each campaign date is due and contact for help such as my district sales leader and customer service.

B- 2) Even though you probably enrolled yourself as an e- representative you already have an address book online. First of all, you made an awesome choice by deciding to enroll as an e- representative. However, it’s great to have access to an address book offline as well.  This benefits you by having a place to put new contact’s business cards, phone numbers that you don’t have memorized. Also, you’ll know where your customers’ contacts are at all times. It would also be helpful to add additional notes such as which products this customer bought and right down recommendations you believe he or she would be interested in future campaigns. Also, record the date you called them or dropped off your contact information.

C- 3) Are you overwhelmed with managing personal and business finance? You’re not alone; I’m definitely in the same boat as you. An additional benefit I gained when starting my Avon business was a relationship with money. I check my accounts online and monitor my spending behavior. I make better choices when it comes to which business tools to buy and shop for the lowest price. I keep my receipts and I know where they are so I can go back and check. When I drop off Avon orders to collect money, I make sure I record the campaign they bought from, the amount they paid me and the date I received the money payment. It’s always good to keep a record if they call back if an item was on backorder. Even though the product showed up on backorder, your customer still pays ahead of time. After the campaign is due and when I’ve received every money payment from my customers, I always type up progress reports and place them in my 3 ring binder. I total up how much they paid me and how many customers I serviced. In this progress report, I also include future campaign goals and notes on which product sold the most or which product had the most trouble.

D-4) Are you ready to expand your business and take it to the next level? What do you know about Avon’s leadership program? Recruit friends, family members and anyone that calls you for an interest in the program and make money off of their sales! By joining the leadership program, you have a new option to explore secure finance! Contact your sales manager for more information. For representatives in District 5875 our Sales manager is Amy Howard and her phone number is 651-734-5246 !

    Additional Information and helpful tips:

    • I made my own purse with the Avon logo. I’m also working on getting a personalized sweatshirt made for being apart of the Avon business. In my purse I keep extra business cards, brochures and products for customers to try. It’s also good to keep samples.
    • Put your Avon Storefront badge on your facebook profile, you can do this through your web office. Myspace, Twitter and any other social network also is an additional tool to increase your earning potential and inform new potential customers about your Avon business.
    • Research – research – research anything from owning your own business to controlling your finances. There is also online training that Avon provides online. Constantly check your email for updates from your sales manager for training seminars and other community events to attend.
    • Offer a discount on the sample that the customer requested for.
    • Ask current customers for referrals to other individuals that would be interested in either buying or selling Avon. Tell them to give you their top three and reward them with a free gift.
    • If you’re still in school and take blended online and campus courses, send  a mass email to class contacts with your Avon Online Store URL and your contact information.
    • If you participate in any online forums or email a lot, make sure your contact and web URL address is in your signature!
    • Consider investing in advertising. Before you invest in advertising either online or offline please review the policy and procedure guidebook for Avon Representatives.
    • & Remember that it pays more now than ever to socialize and follow up with every customer! Treat your customers well and you’ll be on your way to achieving financial freedom!

Thank you so much for all the hard work you all have been doing and continue to do. Thank you for taking the time to read this and always print this for future reference. Call me for any questions you may have in what I said here in this update or any questions at all. Customer service number for Avon is (513) 551- 28566! When you call customer service, have your account number ready!  I’m wishing all my down-line successes and happiness in 2010!
